Framing LVL E10 H2S
Framing LVL E10 H2S is an engineered framing timber designed as a straight, stable, reliable alternative to MGP10 pine. Supplied by JVS Timber and manufactured to AS/NZS 4357, it combines an E10 stress grade — comparable in stiffness to MGP10 — with glueline H2S termite treatment, making it ideal for internal, above-ground residential and light commercial wall framing. Where solid pine can bow, cup and twist, E10 LVL stays straight, speeding up framing and reducing waste and remedial work on site. Whether you are framing walls, fitting studs and plates or setting lintels, Framing LVL E10 H2S delivers consistent, predictable performance. A Straight, Stable Alternative to MGP10 Pine
Framing LVL E10 H2S is laminated veneer lumber made from many thin, pre-graded pine veneers bonded together under controlled factory conditions and cut into straight, uniform framing members. Its E10 stress grade gives it a stiffness comparable to MGP10 pine, so it can be used as a direct, like-for-like framing alternative — studs, plates, noggings, lintels and general wall framing — while delivering the straightness and dimensional stability that only an engineered product can. The 'H2S' designation means the timber carries a glueline termite treatment: termiticide is infused into the adhesive during manufacture, so the entire cross-section is protected against termites and borers. Because the whole section is treated, cuts, notches and drill holes do not need re-treating on site — a real time-saver. H2S is for dry, interior, above-ground use south of the Tropic of Capricorn.

Why Choose Framing LVL E10 H2S
Straight and Stable
Engineered E10 LVL stays straight and dimensionally stable, resisting the bow, cup and twist of solid pine — delivering plumb, true walls with less packing, planing and remedial work.
A Direct MGP10 Alternative
With an E10 stress grade comparable to MGP10 pine, it slots straight into general framing applications as a reliable, like-for-like engineered alternative.
Glueline H2S Termite Protection
The whole cross-section is protected against termites through the glueline, so cuts and drill holes need no re-treatment on site — saving time and reducing risk.
Faster, Cleaner Framing
Consistent, uniform sizing and straightness reduce on-site wastage and rework, improving productivity and framing quality.
Predictable Performance
Pre-graded veneers and dispersed defects give E10 LVL very consistent structural properties, so members perform predictably to grade.
Easy to Work
Framing LVL E10 H2S can be cut, nailed and fixed with standard timber tools and fasteners, just like conventional framing timber.

Where Framing LVL E10 H2S Performs Best
Internal wall framing — studs, plates and noggings.
Lintels and general framing over standard openings (per span tables).
Residential and light commercial framing as an MGP10 alternative.
Projects where straight, stable framing improves speed and quality.
Termite-protected framing south of the Tropic of Capricorn.
Renovations and new builds needing reliable, uniform framing members.
Working With Framing LVL E10 H2S
Framing LVL E10 H2S can be cut, nailed, screwed and fixed using standard timber tools and fasteners, just like conventional framing timber. Its straightness and uniform sizing mean less packing and planing for plumb, true walls. Handle and store it flat, supported and protected from the weather before use, as with all framing timber. Size and detail framing members using the manufacturer’s span tables and your engineer or building designer; the E10 grade describes stiffness, but the correct member size always depends on the load and span. Use appropriate framing connectors and follow standard framing practice for spacing, bracing and tie-down.

Framing LVL E10 H2S Treatment & Compliance
The H2S glueline treatment infuses termiticide into the adhesive during manufacture, protecting the entire cross-section against termites and borers. The major practical benefit is that cuts, notches and drill holes do not need re-treating on site — unlike envelope-treated solid timber, where freshly exposed surfaces must be re-sealed. H2S is for dry, interior, above-ground use and may only be used south of the Tropic of Capricorn. It is not for weather exposure; for exterior, above-ground structural members, use an H3-treated LVL such as our Framing LVL E14 H3 Primed. North of the Tropic of Capricorn, a higher treatment level is required — talk to our team about the right product for your region.

Getting the most out of Framing LVL E10 H2S starts with specifying it correctly. The stress grade tells you the stiffness, and the treatment tells you where it can be used, but the actual member size for a given load and span comes from the manufacturer’s published span tables and design information — and, for primary structural members, from your project engineer or building designer. We can supply the exact sizes, grades, treatments and lengths called up on your plans or engineering documentation, so the simplest approach is to send us your schedule and let us match the product to it. Where it helps, we will also point you to the relevant span tables and technical literature. When you order, it pays to confirm the depth, thickness, grade, treatment and length of every member, plus the quantities, so the delivery arrives complete and ready to build with minimal waste. If you are weighing up grades or treatments — for example, whether a job calls for E10 or stiffer E14, or H2S versus an exterior H3 product — our team is happy to talk it through and help you specify the right member for the application, the location and the budget.

Framing LVL E10 H2S — Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — its E10 stress grade is comparable in stiffness to MGP10 pine, so it is designed as a straight, stable, like-for-like engineered alternative for general framing. Always size members using the relevant span tables.
No. Because the H2S treatment is in the glueline (through the whole cross-section), cuts, notches and drill holes do not need re-treating on site — a key advantage over envelope-treated solid timber.
H2S LVL is for dry, interior, above-ground use south of the Tropic of Capricorn. It is not for weather exposure; for exterior use choose an H3 product, and for areas north of the Tropic of Capricorn a higher treatment level is needed.
Yes — Framing LVL E10 H2S can be cut, nailed, screwed and fixed with standard timber tools and fasteners, while staying straighter and more stable than solid pine.
Member size depends on load and span, so take it from the manufacturer’s span tables and confirm with an engineer where required. The E10 grade describes stiffness, not the size needed for a given span.
Yes. Tell us the member sizes, grade, treatment and quantities on your plans or engineering documentation, along with your delivery location, and the JVS Timber team will confirm current stock and competitive trade pricing with delivery Australia-wide.
Yes — a key advantage of LVL is that it is manufactured in long, straight, uniform lengths, which suits longer spans and runs and reduces joins. Tell us the lengths you need and we will confirm what is available. In short, Framing LVL E10 H2S is engineered to make the relevant part of your build straighter, stronger and more predictable — our team is happy to help you confirm sizes, grade and treatment, point you to the right span tables, and quote current availability and trade pricing.
