Stiff, Straight LVL for Formwork Bearers and Joists
Formwork LVL E12 H2S is laminated veneer lumber made from many thin, pre-graded pine veneers bonded under controlled factory conditions into straight, uniform members. Its E12 stress grade gives it greater stiffness than standard E10 framing LVL — important for formwork, where bearers and joists must resist deflection under the weight of wet concrete to hold accurate slab levels and finishes. Its straightness and consistency make a formwork system faster to set out and more predictable to strip and re-use. The 'H2S' designation means a glueline termite treatment is infused into the adhesive during manufacture, protecting the whole cross-section so cuts and drill holes need no re-treatment. H2S is for dry, above-ground use south of the Tropic of Capricorn; formwork LVL should be protected, cleaned and stored well between pours to maximise its working life.

Formwork LVL E12 H2S can be cut, drilled and fixed with standard timber tools and fasteners. Set out bearers and joists to the formwork design and the manufacturer’s data; the E12 grade describes stiffness, but the spacing and member size for a given load must follow the formwork design and a competent person or engineer. Support, brace and tie formwork in accordance with safe-work and design requirements. To get the most cycles from formwork LVL, protect it from damage, clean it down after each pour, avoid prolonged saturation and store it flat, supported and under cover between uses. Inspect members for damage before re-use and remove any that are compromised.
