Premium, Heavy-Duty Full-Hardwood Formply
F27 Formwork Plywood is the highest of the common formply stress grades — the 'F27' indicates the greatest bending strength of the F17/F22/F27 range. Engineered with full hardwood veneers and a high-density phenolic overlay on both faces, and bonded with a durable Type A (exterior) phenolic bond, it is built to carry the highest loads and withstand the most repeated, demanding use. The dense hardwood construction and tough phenolic face make it the premium choice where formwork is worked hardest. That makes F27 the formply of choice for heavy construction and mining formwork, and for demanding off-form and architectural finishes where strength, stiffness and surface quality all matter. Like all formply it is made to AS 6669 and specified by surface class, stress grade and bond — and with the right surface class and good formwork practice, it delivers a clean, high-quality off-form finish over many cycles.

Why Choose F27 Formwork Plywood
Premium F27 Strength
F27 is the highest of the common formply grades — the strongest and stiffest — engineered to carry the highest loads and the widest support spacing on demanding jobs.
Full-Hardwood Construction
Built with full hardwood veneers and a high-density phenolic overlay, F27 is made to withstand the rigours of heavy construction and mining formwork.
Heaviest-Duty Re-Use
Its dense construction and tough phenolic face help F27 stand up to the most punishing, repeated use, delivering cycles where lesser grades would fail sooner.
Quality Off-Form Finish
The high-density phenolic face releases concrete cleanly and produces a high-quality off-form finish, suiting demanding architectural concrete.
A-Bond for the Hardest Jobs
A durable Type A exterior phenolic bond gives F27 the moisture-resistant glue line that heavy, repeated formwork demands.
Made to AS 6669
Manufactured to the Australian formwork plywood standard, so you can specify this premium grade with confidence.

Demanding off-form and architectural concrete finishes.
System and tableform applications under the heaviest use.
Projects where maximum strength and durability are required.
Working With and Re-Using F27 Formwork Plywood
F27 Formwork Plywood is cut and fixed with standard tools; seal freshly cut edges with a suitable edge sealer to keep moisture out of the core. Support sheets at the spacing the formwork design requires for the high loads involved, fix securely, and follow safe-work and formwork design requirements. Its premium strength can allow heavier loads or wider spacing than lower grades on some jobs — but always to the formwork design. To get the most from a premium sheet, clean the face after stripping, apply a suitable release agent, avoid impact damage, re-seal damaged edges and store sheets flat, supported and protected. Inspect before re-use and retire sheets that are delaminating or badly damaged. Treated well, F27 rewards the investment with many demanding cycles.

F27 Formwork Plywood Standards & Specifying
F27 Formwork Plywood is made to AS 6669 (Plywood — Formwork) and is specified by surface class, stress grade and bond. The F27 grade indicates the highest bending strength of the common formply range, the surface class relates to the off-form finish under AS 3610, and the A-bond is the durable exterior phenolic glue line. Whether F27 lets you carry higher loads or widen support spacing on a given job depends on the formwork design, so always work to that design and the manufacturer’s data. Our team can help you decide whether F27 is warranted, or whether F17 or F22 suits your loads, re-use and finish, so you specify the most cost-effective grade.
