JVS TIMBER — F22 Formwork Plywood

F22 Formwork Plywood

F22 Formwork Plywood steps up from general-purpose formply for jobs that demand more strength and more re-use. Supplied by JVS Timber and made to AS 6669, F22 formply pairs a higher F22 stress grade with a high-density phenolic film face, delivering an excellent strength-to-weight ratio and a clean off-form finish. It is the versatile choice for tableforms, shutters, columns and system formwork, and for heavier or more repeated use where F17 is working hard. Whether you are running system formwork, tableforms or columns, or simply want a stronger, longer-lasting form face, F22 Formwork Plywood delivers. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Higher-Strength Formply for Demanding Formwork

F22 Formwork Plywood is structural formwork plywood with a higher stress grade than F17 — the 'F22' indicates greater bending strength — finished with a high-density phenolic film overlay on both faces and bonded with a durable Type A (exterior) phenolic bond. Often built from a mix of hardwood and birch veneers, it offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making it easier to handle for its capacity and well suited to repeated, demanding use. That extra strength makes F22 a versatile, cost-effective choice across system formwork, tableforms, shutters and columns, where higher loads, wider support spacing or more pours are involved. Like all formply, it is made to AS 6669 and specified by surface class, stress grade and bond — and with the right surface class and good formwork practice it delivers a quality off-form finish, pour after pour.

Key Highlights

Why Choose F22 Formwork Plywood

Higher F22 Strength

The F22 stress grade is stronger and stiffer than F17, suiting it to higher loads, wider support spacing and more demanding formwork.

Excellent Strength-to-Weight

Often built with hardwood and birch veneers, F22 offers a high strength-to-weight ratio — capacity without unnecessary weight, making it easier to handle for what it can do.

Versatile Across Systems

F22 is well suited to tableforms, shutters, columns, and both conventional and system formwork — a flexible upgrade from general-purpose formply.

Clean Off-Form Finish

The high-density phenolic face releases concrete cleanly and produces a quality off-form finish to the surface class you select.

Built for Re-Use

Higher strength and a durable phenolic face help F22 stand up to repeated, demanding use, delivering more cycles on the right jobs.

Made to AS 6669

Manufactured to the Australian formwork plywood standard, so you can specify it with confidence for structural formwork.

WORKING & RE-USE

Working With and Re-Using F22 Formwork Plywood

F22 Formwork Plywood is cut and fixed with standard tools; seal freshly cut edges with a suitable edge sealer to keep moisture out of the core. Support sheets at the spacing the formwork design requires for the load and finish, fix securely, and follow safe-work and formwork design requirements. Its higher strength can allow wider support spacing than F17 on some jobs — but that, too, must come from the formwork design. To maximise re-use, clean the face after stripping, apply a suitable release agent, avoid impact damage, re-seal damaged edges and store sheets flat, supported and protected from the weather. Inspect before re-use and retire sheets that are delaminating or badly damaged.

STANDARDS & SPECIFYING

F22 Formwork Plywood Standards & Specifying

F22 Formwork Plywood is made to AS 6669 (Plywood — Formwork) and is specified by surface class, stress grade and bond. The F22 grade indicates higher bending strength than F17, the surface class relates to the off-form finish under AS 3610, and the A-bond is the durable exterior phenolic glue line. Whether F22 lets you widen support spacing or carry higher loads on a given job depends on the formwork design, so always work to that design and the manufacturer’s data. Our team can help you decide between F17, F22 and F27 for your loads, re-use and finish requirements.

ORDERING & COORDINATION

Ordering F22 Formwork Plywood from JVS Timber

The easiest way to order F22 Formwork Plywood is to tell us what your formwork design and schedule call for — the grade, size, thickness and quantities — and let our team match the product to it and confirm current stock. Because we supply the whole formwork range, you can also coordinate the rest of the package in the same order: the form face (F17, F22 or F27 formply) and the supporting structure (Formwork LVL E12 bearers and joists) together, from one supplier, with a single point of contact and delivery Australia-wide. Ordering everything together helps keep your formwork job moving — fewer suppliers to chase, coordinated delivery to site, and a team that can advise on grades, sizes and quantities so you order the right amount with minimal waste. If you are unsure which grade or size best suits your loads, re-use and finish, just describe the job and we will recommend the most cost-effective option.
